But psychic ability is not synonymous with spirituality. An individual can be very psychic, but not (unfortunately) honest or ethical. An Ethical Psychic
An ethical psychic will set up an atmosphere for his or her reading with you that will be private and safe. After your reading, you should never feel frightened or discouraged. If he or she sees something negative, they should always give you things that you can do to deal with the prediction.
You may not always hear everything you want from a psychic reading, but your reader should be able to tell you what to do to handle any difficulties they see.
Red Flags
The psychic should tell you things that you yourself can do. But if he or she tries to convince you that they alone can solve your problem or suggests that you pay them to take care of your problem, that is a big red flag.
Also, please remember that psychics have their weaknesses as well as their strengths. Some psychics may be very accurate about past, but not so good about what’s happening in your relationships. Some psychics may be very good about predicting the future, but not so accurate about timing. So keep in mind that while a psychic can be very accurate in one area of your life, that does not necessarily translate to all areas of your life.
As a rule, most psychics that decide to work publicly have a strong desire to help their clients. Just recognizing a few red flags if they pop up will help to make your experience of the psychic world fascinating and extremely useful at the same time.
