When you finally meet the person who is ideal for you, all the lonely time spent waiting seems to disappear on its own. And, however much time you spent waiting is definitely worth the wait.
Just remember that he/she is lonely as well. And they want to find you just as much as you want to find them.
Even if he/she is in a relationship and you are not, they are not completely happy because something in that relationship is missing, and what is missing is the ideal person for them, You.
Each relationship is a learning experience.
If you have had several relationships along the way that did not work out, ask yourself what you have learned from each relationship. If there are happy memories, mentally thank the person you shared them with. If there are negative memories, in your mind’s eye, allow those memories to become faded and gray. You can even allow those faded, gray memories to gradually disintegrate and gently blow away in the breeze.

You may have truly loved someone, even though the relationship did not work out. Be kind to yourself. Most of the time, these are karmic relationships and they carry emotions from this lifetime and other lifetimes as well. These are the people we think that we will always love.
At this point, create a ceremony for yourself that cuts the energetic ties from those relationships.
Once karmic relationships start to show up in your life, there will be more. Just remember that the next one to show up could be ready to love you.
One person I know imagined those ties as heavy chains between her and the man she could not forget. In her mind’s eye, she saw the heavy chains dissolving to reveal a delicate golden cord between her and her former lover. To her the golden cord represented the healthy parts of the love between her and her former lover.
I hope that some of these thoughts speak to you, and are useful going forward. In this way she could validate her feelings and still be ready to move forward.
With the new year coming and hopefully a safe and healthy close to the pandemic, we all have much to be thankful for, and much to look forward to
